WHY DO YOU LOVE ME?

Is it my eyes? What do you see in it? Does it send a message to your heart or is it the way it sees through you? Is it the way it sees the expression you don’t show? Or is there a part of you that you’ve found cannot be assessed by any other but it? Could it be how it brightens up when I smile? Oh! It could be my smile but what about it? Tell me does it make me the most beautiful being you’ve seen? Does it bring the spark in your day or does it bring a million happy thought to you? Is that why you smile back? Because I see it, it warms my heart and somewhere inside I say a little prayer that mine does the same to you.

Is it how beautiful I look after taking hours to wear my make-up? If it is then why do you still love me when I wash it off? Why do you still look at me the same way you do when I have them on? Is it how I dress? How I walk or how I talk? Tell me I need to know! Is it what I say? Hehe! I know I say smart things but I’m aware of the stupid ones too, is that enough to win your love? Could it be my attitude? How I’m mostly full of mischief? Do I have a sense of humour good enough to deserve your love? But then you are still there when I am sad, you do everything possible to take away the sadness, you are always there and I never hear you complain for a moment.

You couldn’t have fallen for my bad habits, no, you couldn’t have fallen for my anger but why are you closest to me at those times? Why do you stand by me in my confusion and wait till I figure it out? Why do you try to satisfy the unreasonable requests I make? Is there something in that moment keeps you from taking note of your own needs or makes ignoring me not to be an option? Tell me what is special enough to win your love?

Why do you love me? Why do you care? I need to know, I can’t seem to figure it out on my own, hell! I can’t even figure out why I love you. I see different reasons every day and everything seems to be the reason but tell me darling if you have figured yours out, so that I can cherish it for bringing you to me and guard it till forever comes.
